Czech & Speake No. 88 Cologne

This wonderful, long lasting, old school fougere is everything a gentleman could want in a barbershop style scent. Well, the juice is. I just don't get how the manufacturer can make such an awesome fragrance, and then stick it in a rather cheap bottle and box...and still charge through the nose! ...? When I first received No.88 EDC and took it out of its box, and to say I was underwhelmed is an understatement (for the price). I like to imagine that I am fairly well-versed in the fragrance world regarding bang-for-your-buck, as I am the proud owner of 470+ fragrances, and is my privilege to have experienced every level and derivation of fragrance bottles and their packaging. This, unfortunately, felt like I had chucked a cheap frag in my trolley while doing my weekly grocery shopping. I still give this review 5 stars...because the juice is simply that good. *Feel free to pass this on to Czech & Speake, as I stand behind what I have written.

Perfect

A firm favourite. The gentle yet strong feel this leaves is both invigorating and calming. It has a glorious scent that isn't overpowering when applied and lingers very well. It has a gentle floral scent with a sharp finish. I have found it perfect for an afternoon where you want to make a good impression or for a romantic evening with someone you wish to entice or impress. I use it in the evening after applying Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet in the morning. I find they don't clash as the morning scents have faded enough by evening to, if detected, compliment this amazing product.
