Black Jack Jar & tube - different constituents?

Received a sample of Black Jack shaving cream some months ago, which I loved (really good lather, oily and gave me a really close shave).Hence I ordered a jar of it but it appears to be a different product, namely not as oily and it requires more cream to produce a reasonable lather.Very disappointed.

This is a very good ...

This is a very good shaving cream. It produces plenty of lather from a relatively small dollop in the bowl, and the scent is light, clean and masculine. Performance is very good - up there with some of the best creams I own. It also has decent residual slickness, which is often the achilles heel of creams.
Value is decent, considering the mass of product is 270g.
Definitely recommended.

Not bad value for money

I previously had the tube and decided to buy this. Same great scent, but I found with my synthetic brush, the lather wasnt quite there.
