A gourmand touchstone, Fils de Dieu is what we call a culinary citrus, making use of notes that often find themselves in the pages of a recipe book - in this case, perhaps Thai or Filipino. With painstaking precision, perfumer Ralf Schweiger works with absolute restraint and builds a fragrance that is always deliciously tempting, but never comestible.

A tropical motif is built with a clever accord of lime-spiked coconut rice that evokes a distinctly humid air, cutting this with an intense herbal green freshness via coriander leaves, cardamon, and ginger. Underneath this lies a fresh May Rose note, pulled down with the polite animalic growl of castoreum grounded with leather, amber, and vetiver. It is this special combination of classically arranged base notes that manage to keep the culinary top under control.
