Filippo Sorcinelli is interested in “things beyond the reasonable border”, embracing themes of mysticism, ecstasy, madness, the sacred and the profane. He is not only a perfumer, but an organist, tailor, painter, and mystic. Across all of these themes and mediums, Sorcinelli searches for beauty and its manifest variations
UNUM is about Spirit. Not only about spirituality. Born from the awareness that the Spirit goes beyond all boundaries, embracing the pulsing lifeblood of every population, built on their traditions without being sterile; UNUM is open to artistic contamination, and speaks to that part that is inside each one of us, celebrating what cannot be touched by our hands. Perfumery is the ideal analogue of this philosophy.

Filippo Sorcinelli founded Laboratorio Atelier Vesti Sacre (LAVS) in 2013, which created the vestments for two Catholic popes. LAVS was the first fragrance, an incense used to scent these very papal garments (initially a parfum d’ambiance). It is the hallmark of the brand. UNUM followed suit in 2014.
