In Search, smoke notes are brightened as they wrap around colourful orbs of citrus fruit, as if the trunk of a citrus tree were set alight. Smoky warmth rises up in Search, caramelising the sugars found in the lemons, limes, and mandarins that make up the hesperidic profile of this scent. The scent is a delight, and its execution is free of ambiguity and without mystery - its contrasts are to the point, no nonsense and evocative. Its combination of cade, vetiver, and guaiac are wood notes most renowned for their dark and smoky touch, balanced with the illuminating sheen of elemi and quality olibanum, no less reiterated by the citrus notes. Within there are impressions of saltiness, an image of a bonfire by the shoreline, fuelled by woods impregnated with brine and dried out in the sun.
