A complex green floral at once fresh yet marvellously deep. 10 is led by a fig note with aspects both familiar and strange, characteristically generous and creamy without downright falling into the lactic. It is emphasised with powerful floral notes to bring out its greeness, enlarging the fig note whilst drawing it away from its usually demure display, enlivened with spicy marigold flower and refreshing geranium leaf. Lavender and jasmine sambac lends a furry texture, while ylang-ylang intensifies the hue of these floral ingredients. 10 has a discernible woodiness, deliberately faint so not to distract, it forms a complex and equivocal surface that refuses to be one thing or another - sandalwood, olibanum incense, vanilla, balsams, and resins - everything is there in the service of green, and the result is spectacular.
