Czech & Speake No. 88 Shaving Soap Refill, 90g

Beyond disappointed. After reading old forums I got excited for this soap. Until I found out that the formula was changed after my order arrived.

Wanted to treat myself for my birthday, so I spent the extra money since I thought I was getting an exceptional shaving soap, got utter garbage instead. $55 for it. What a joke. ahhh

I have been wet shaving for many years now. Usually with a straight razor, sometimes a DE. I've used LOTS of brands of shaving creams and soaps. Some are superb and some are a waste of time and money. This Czech & Speake shaving soap is utter garbage. Be warned, this soap is nothing like the superb old C&S products made by Valobra. The person that formulated this soap could not possibly be a wet shaver. If you can raise a lather with this stuff it will dissipate before you can put a razor to it. Do not waste your money on this rubbish. Deserves a no star rating

This one's a bit pricey but the unusual and subtle scent lingers like a fresh fragipani blossom in spring. Love to try the cologne/edp but will need to win the gift voucher for that and chip in a bit extra.

All that I do is think about moving my shaving brush across this soap and it's already lathered-up. It's excellent. I've moved from Trumper shaving soap and found this lather to be vastly more substantial and thick. It's stays on the face more reliably and as a result, the shave is both closer and more forgiving.
The smell is great- it's the olfactory hit that I need in the morning. A bit of a Italian machismo for the start of the day. I'll grab another one when I run out.

Worth every cent didn't need 150$ tin so just got this . Lovely smooth lather and lady likes smell
