My fabourite

I have tried lots of shaving soaps but DT Harris’ Arlington has the best of everything and I have settled on it as my favourite. Easy, smooth foam and it rinses easily and completely.

Perfect soap for easy shaving.

Months ago finished my original D.R.Harris soap and replaced with canned soap in haste.Replaced with Arlington last week and the shave is much better,closer and easier to perform,wil always make sure replacent available.

Soap scent is great, creates a protective lather. Shipping however was twice the maximum estimated amount of time.

Brilliant soap

This is an excellent shaving soap. It lathered easily with my soft synthetic brush, provided excellent protection and glide, and left my face feeling moisturised and refreshed afterwards.

Nice, quality soap

Never tried a Harris soap before, and this is very nice. The Arlington scent is a very popular one, and is a classic citrus. I was a bit unkind on opening it as it reminded me of Lemon Jif, but that is only because the citrus is so strong to begin with. It's far nicer than that and the scent does fade a bit, to a pleasant soft citrus.

I really needed a week or so with this to get it going. It's a very hard soap - the positive here is this will last a long time. I even took to soaking the bowl upside down in the sink for a little while, just so I could load up as I like. I've found this with other hard soaps - they just need to get some moisture into them to work their best.

It shaves nicely, but maybe not quite as quick to lather (it can take on a lot of water) or as slick as some other tallows, but well enough to get a good, comfortable shave. But with Harris, one you like a given scent, you can choose complimentary products to use with them.
