Ebony wood feels good in the hand. Shaving angle easy to find. Weight may be a bit on the light side, however, the shave is close.

I am an experienced barber and this Shavette is useless. It is too light and feels incredibly cheap. I thought something made of stainless steel would have some good weight behind it but it does not. The plastic razor holding insert also juts out at the top of the Shavette so you can’t utilize the top corner of your razor. Not happy at all with this product especially considering the price.

I have never been disappointed by any Dovo product, this elegant shavette is no exception. Functionally simple, economic to maintain and handsome to look at ... it is a winner.

If you are considering straight razor shaving for the first time or if you are going to be away from your stones &/or strop - the shavettes are a great cost effective option.
