Each year, Albert Fouquet escaped to Ravello on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, finding peace at the cliffside Hotel Villa Cimbrone with its sweeping views of the Mediterranean.

In the nearby gardens of Villa Rufolo - once admired by composer Richard Wagner - Albert found endless inspiration. Years later, he was invited by Maestro Guido Rossi to a concert held in those very gardens, where Wagner himself had once composed.

Surrounded by music and the heady scent of flowers, Albert experienced a creative awakening. That night, back at Villa Cimbrone, he began blending the notes in his mind: garden florals, sea-kissed air, and the magic of an Italian evening.

The result was Giardino Dell’Anima, a fragrance born of Ravello’s timeless beauty and the soulful atmosphere of the Amalfi Coast.

EDITOR'S NOTES

There are two themes at once in Il Giardino Dell’Anima, happily ring dancing as one. A lush sunlit garden, feverishly warm and flush with floral saturation with jasmine absolute and Madagascan ylang-ylang in its core, and the sweet creamy green of pistachio - enough to transform the scent with its addition. A surprising woody note, almost like the roasted kernel itself, lends firmness and weight, a substantiveness that fixes the scent in place. A generous gourmand - simple yet full of dimension and grace.
