Biarritz was one of Albert Fouquet’s favorite retreats.

An annual gathering at the Hôtel du Palais often turned to their favorite ritual: golf at Le Phare, where fierce competition gave rise to a playful tradition they dubbed “The 19th Hole.”
In this friendly contest, the losing team treated the others to dinner, presented a makeshift trophy, and - most famously - jumped into the sea fully clothed before retrieving their room keys from the hotel lobby.

During one such trip, Thomas gifted Fouquet a bouquet of geraniums grown at his countryside home, suggesting he transform it into a fragrance. Inspired, Albert returned to Paris and created a one-of-a-kind scent.

At the next gathering, he unveiled his surprise: Le Trou 19 du Phare, a tribute to friendship, tradition, and the unforgettable spirit of their time in Biarritz.

You can smell the golf course in the green freshness that marks the top of this fragrance, where vibrant and fresh orange blossom and geranium are set against earthy notes of vetiver and patchouli. Its serious side - its dominant black leather note - offers a bold leathery aspect that is pleasantly tannic and a hint smoky, working as a juxtaposition where green is set against black. The scent is enduringly fresh with the right amount of depth - good-natured and bold.
