Seen from above, citrus freshness fills and irradiates the composition, reaching a tea-dominant heart that immediately stirs imaginaries of purity and calm. But there is modernity, too. Soon after this lightness, the scent flips onto its head - highly aromatic woods dredged in musks - this freshness gains: spiciness, creaminess, transparency, absolutely redolent of The Noir 29 by Le Labo with a measured Iso E Super whiff. Above The Waves has a delightful substantiveness - as clear as water and glass, it is aromatic tea brewed in a cast iron teapot and served in fine porcelain.
