Filippo Sorcinelli But Not Today Extrait de Parfum

$45000 AUD
Size

A violent fragrance at the beginning, which is long in its evolution, which celebrates a special but authentic love: that Hannibal Lecter and Clarice in the film also shot in Florence.

”Tell me Clarice, would you ever say to me "Stop. If you loved me, you'd stop?"

Description

Fragrance Family:
Soft Floral

Notes:
Bergamot, Artemisia, Lavender, Lemon, Styrax, Cascarilla, Rosemary, Calamus, Angelica, Sandalwood, Oak Moss, Galbanum Resin, Amber, Musk

Concentration:
Extrait de Parfum

Occasion:
After the shock of its opening, But Not Today evolves into a spicy, herbal cologne-like fragrance. It calls two scenes from the Hannibal universe to mind: Hannibal Lecter’s escape in The Silence of the Lambs (“ready when you are, Sergeant Pembry”) and all of Florence in Hannibal. Palazzo Vecchio, the pharmacy of Santa Maria Novella (via delle Scala 16), the River Arno, and many glorious Baroque visuals. A scent for lovers of the film, evocative and visceral statements, and surprising classicism. It is much more wearable than one first expects.

Made in Italy

EDITOR'S NOTES

When Hannibal Lecter draws in a deliberate breath and murmurs to Clarice Starling, “Sometimes you wear L’Air du Temps… But not today,” it is a touching without hands; an olfactory caress. But Not Today channels the charged, unspoken bond between Hannibal the Cannibal and the determined young agent - a fragrance that feels like warm flesh and flowing blood, a turbulent and restless maelstrom that trembles on the skin.

It unfolds like the scent of raw mineral pigments, warmed by golden immortelle and cooled with bitter green galbanum, it carries the cold intensity of a gaze pressed too long against bloodied glass. Resolutely herbal, it evokes an old and traditional image of Florence - the city where Hannibal always slips just out of reach, a place of shadowed elegance and elusive danger. It unfolds into an unsettling and strangely magnetic chypre crossed with a sharp cologne, bringing bergamot, wormwood, lavender, lemon, rosemary, and mosses together. The elegant and the brutal, much like Doctor Lecter himself.
