Geo. F. Trumper Eucris Shaving Soap Refill, 80g

Isn't it odd just how different people's experiences can be. I've used a number of soaps of the years. Generally, in the main, I've stuck with DR Harris (Sandalwood or Marlborough) but when they weren't in stock, I though I'd try the Eucris. I enjoyed the light masculine fragrance (so much so that I've since purchased the EDP) but of course that is personal preference. However, unlike some others' experiences, I had absolutely no problem reaching a rich lather to the same extent of the DR Harris soaps.

Well I made the same mistake as a shaving soap from T & H. I failed to look carefully at the main ingredient namely Potassium palmate. This is the key to a great shaving soap which this soap is missing. I have learnt my lesson! May I state to all who read this review that this soap and any other soap missing this chief ingredient will not lather!I tried this once and turfed it. A total croc. I am quite angry with myself for buying this and will now boycott all GF Trumper shave soaps (and many others it seems). The best include MWF, DR Harris, Cella (an absolute ripper) and Speick.

This soap is excellent though in the shower. A turn on for the lady in your life. You may even be on a promise after using this after showering!

One of the best shaving soaps I have used. the masculine scent is outstanding. It lathers up very well using a shaving brush and the razor just glides over the skin, leaving a fresh feeling. Will use it every time.

I use this everyday and have refilled three times. Takes minimal effort to lather but worth it. Got to work that lather for a smooth shave. Will continue to use without hesitation.

Have to agree with others out there that say this is a poor shaving soap. Very airy, dry lather in the bowl or on the face. Very disappointed
