Isn't it odd just how experiences differ ...

Isn't it odd just how different people's experiences can be. I've used a number of soaps of the years. Generally, in the main, I've stuck with DR Harris (Sandalwood or Marlborough) but when they weren't in stock, I though I'd try the Eucris. I enjoyed the light masculine fragrance (so much so that I've since purchased the EDP) but of course that is personal preference. However, unlike some others' experiences, I had absolutely no problem reaching a rich lather to the same extent of the DR Harris soaps.

What a Croc!

Well I made the same mistake as a shaving soap from T & H. I failed to look carefully at the main ingredient namely Potassium palmate. This is the key to a great shaving soap which this soap is missing. I have learnt my lesson! May I state to all who read this review that this soap and any other soap missing this chief ingredient will not lather!I tried this once and turfed it. A total croc. I am quite angry with myself for buying this and will now boycott all GF Trumper shave soaps (and many others it seems). The best include MWF, DR Harris, Cella (an absolute ripper) and Speick.

This soap is excellent though in the shower. A turn on for the lady in your life. You may even be on a promise after using this after showering!

Excellent

One of the best shaving soaps I have used. the masculine scent is outstanding. It lathers up very well using a shaving brush and the razor just glides over the skin, leaving a fresh feeling. Will use it every time.

I use this everyday and have refilled three times. Takes minimal effort to lather but worth it. Got to work that lather for a smooth shave. Will continue to use without hesitation.

Have to agree with others out there that say this is a poor shaving soap. Very airy, dry lather in the bowl or on the face. Very disappointed

Love the Scent and performance!

When I initially purchased this soap, like others, I was blown away by the scent (I love all things Eucris), but the performance was lacking a bit in comparison so other soaps.

I could get a lather but not one as rich and creamy as others... that was when I was Bowl lathering. I found since switching this soap (and all my soaps) to face lathering it made a hell of a difference!

If you love the Eucris scent (like I do), try face lathering with this soap! Not only does it smell awesome, it performs just as well.

It could come down to my technique when bowl lathering, but since switching to face lathering this has become one of my go to soaps for shaving!

worst soap out there

One star for the great Eucris scent but that's where it ends. Worst soap I have ever used. So disappointed with this that I threw it in the trash.

My favourite shave soap!

This is my favourite soap to use - the lather is perfect, the scent is top-notch (a little woody, a little musky, but mostly spicy) and it's not over-powering. Highly recommended!
