Untamable is about warmth – the dusky time of day when the heat of the earth radiates off rocks and dusty land, the scent of melting wax redolent of animalic honey and potent blossoms, and the tang of warm exhausted bodies. Its dominant impression is leatheriness but not necessarily leather – this skin is both raw and refined, clean and funky, one looks not at leather in this perfume, but an idea derived from impressions, sensations, and feelings. It is a fantasy part real and part imaginary, and for many, Untamable will trigger sharp, nostalgic memories of a certain vision of the outback – this is a primal scent, honest and frank, and an increasingly disappearing one.
