While everyone else is busy trying to purify and prettify the vetiver note, Heeley gives us a fragrance where its savage beauty is on full display. This is an exercise in enhancement, not modification. For the Haitian vetiver note – completely natural and pure – sings at the centre of the stage, whilst a furry texture is imparted by lavender, green grassy freshness is furthered with mint, and in between the folds of this fragrance is the bitter tonic-like edge of grapefruit.
