Does what it says on the label.
A little bit goes a long way. I have medium to think hair and it gives great hold all day and into the night. Low perfume and maximum hold. Perfect!

The best matt clay hands down.

This is the best matt clay i’ve purchased. I have a collection of 15 different hair products - mostly similar, matt clay's and this one trumps them all. My wife had her hair cut short and started using it too!

Strong Hold, Matte Finish

Best hair clay I have used. Strong hold which works well for my thick hair and has a great matte finish. Have been using this for a few years. Highly recommended.

Strong hold and low visibility

I've shopped around various brands to find a product which provides strong but natural-looking hold. My hair is straight and reasonably thick and a small amount of this cement clay works amazingly well on dry hair (applying it to wet hair can result in a high shine look). Only a small amount is needed and the product keeps its consistency well in the container once opened.

HIGH HOLD YET STILL SO LIGHT-WEIGHT

This product is an excellent light-weight water based clay. I have very short, thick hair and for me this product provides a firm hold without being too over the top. Gives a messy and natural look that holds nearly all day. Has a subtle scent and washes out easily. Would recommend and will be buying again although that won't be for a while since the jar is 4.25 oz and with layrite, a little product goes a long way.

The First good hair product

that i have had ever, granted i have not been using many at all, but with that out of the way i would not need to search to far with layrite. as soon as you put it in the hair (after warming it up) it grips really well. smells like vanilla, and lasts quite a while. i still had some hold the next day after sleeping on it. i order this on wednesday and got it on thusday, very fast shipping. Layrite is freat so far and i intend to explore what products they have

Amazing scent; good hold; reworkable?

I like this. It has a much easier consistency than Baxters of California, and a much better hold than American Crew, and it has the most amazing vanilla scent. I challenge the statement "pliable formula allows you to reshape and rework your style throughout the day" - if I try to rework it at any point after 20 minutes, it pretty much loses all hold. I will buy it again though.
