I gave 2 stars because of the refreshing nature of the cream. That is it's highlight as it simply does not compare to other great shave cream out there. Eg Captain Fawcett. The concentrated aspect may be appealing if you have a light growth and a one pass shave. So for me with thick growth and a 3 pass shave the 165 shaves is a myth. I also have noticed that the cream 'dissipates' somewhat if left on the skin for too long. Not so with a shaving soap. It is just OK. I will not be buying again.

I started using this shaving cream in the UK 5 years ago and it’s still my favourite although I vary shaving creams and razors to avoid a stick in the mud attitude.

After many years shaving an trying different products this has been the most comfortable shave creme I have used. It lathers up well but doesn't clog the razor and leaves a smooth face and fresh scent. 10/10 would recommend.

The best feature of this shave cream is the brilliant packaging and the refreshing 'zing' feel on the skin when applied with a shaving brush. But it is no better or worse than many other quality shave creams offered by Mens Biz. In fact even the cheaper Spieck shave cream is just as good at nearly a quarter of the price.Having said that this is a concentrate but a myth that you can get up to 165 shaves from this. You need 2 squirts to get sufficient,rich lather for a shave. Then if you want to have a second or even third pass of the blade (as I do) more cream is required as I feel there is not enough left on the brush to do this. That completely throws the 'concentrate' label out the window. Yet it is a nice shave cream although I much prefer triple milled shave soaps as they are very long lasting and provide a better 'quality' lather. I really only use a shave soap once a week in a rotation and to use a badger brush.
