Osang is inspired by an extraordinary annual miracle, a scent of viscous beauty, blood rising, shifting from inertia to bubbling resurrection. Naples is urbs sanguinum, City of Blood, protected by patron saint San Gennaro. Three times a year his dried blood is presented to the people, hungry for love and miracles. If this holy treasure liquefies all will be well with Naples. If not, the earth will shake, skies blacken … misfortune might descend. This supernatural and holy liquefaction is a talisman of metamorphosis and protection.

A miracle of love. A perfumed celebration of saints and superstitions, centred around a ravenous fenugreek absolute note lavished with singed pyrazines, sacrificial myrrh and mournful molten honey poured over everything like amber rain. Meadow blooms, sticky dark resins, pungent balms and ashen clouds of iris swirl like dramatic weather.

The miracle slowly unfolds from sunlit flowers through a sea of honey and glorious fenugreek, stirring our hunger into clouds of swirling darkness, golden hope and cindered skies. A bucolic, golden incense, sweetened with honey and textured in its opening by iris and pepper.

Then come fabulous amounts of resin and balsam, trickling and flowing together. Imagine a slow downhill race between myrrh, styrax, labdanum and benzoin, each one overtaking, overlapping and settling into the next. They mingle with the scent of sun-warmed wildflowers, becoming rich, viscous currents that seem to absorb everything around them: church incense, dried savoury herbs, brittle grasses and warm dust.

There are two distinct kinds of light in Osang. The first is a radiant core of fenugreek, its spicy, burnt-sugar aroma giving off an almost tangible heat, edged with bitterness. The second is softer - a halo-like glow, the kind that surrounds saints and angels in old paintings. It diffuses a delicate luminosity across the composition, as gentle as the touch of a powder puff.

These opposing qualities exist together throughout the fragrance: intensity and tenderness, warmth and softness. The result is a scent that feels both uplifting and quietly awe-inspiring, settling into a softly glimmering musky finish.
