All my roses were delicate and fragile, some of them sick; afflicted perhaps by inherited weaknesses. Perhaps this is the price to pay for such beauty. One day I dropped some mint leaves into a vase of my roses. The voracious mint surrounded and embraced the roses, guarding and protecting them. Now they grow beautiful and lush, without our help and without weaknesses. That’s when I started thinking about the smell of Talent. The talent we need to live. Talent that allows us to have everything.

Talent of life. The talent that if well protected can bloom undisturbed. Mint and roses. This is the theme of the sixth Talisman. The Talisman of talent, the light of genius that could flourish and grow in us all. A light to be protected as it in turn protects us.

Winter roses coated in frost, slowly thawing in the morning light. Talento is a cold perfume, started by the glacial feeling of C12 MNA aldehyde. It adds an unbelievable freshness without falling into citrusy cliche - hinting at orange and lemon though also the sheen of polished metal, lichen blanketed in powdered snow, icicles, and a secret pulse of amber. This finds company with mint and geranium, lending a natural sense of freshness. All of this pivots around a fragile rose accord, that shivers yet sings. Red, green, fresh, crisp. It bursts forth, quietly spectacular - in Talento, you can feel matter unfurl, pushing, working upon itself; its palpable vital force. Its charm is in major part to a precise dose of rose oxide, heightening the realism of this rose, clarifying and sharpening its appearance, with green and metallic facets that link this to the composition as a whole. Deep in the perfume and more apparent in the dry down, are notes of patchouli, oakmoss, and cedar, lending woody stem and a soft chypre-like echo.

Housed in solid French flacons, the raku ceramic cap in the form of an abstracted rose has been designed by Alessandro Reggioli. From the neck flows a soft Neopolitan tapestry tassel. The striking black and silver packing will protect and keep your Talento safe.
