Smoky and powdery notes open Buio, Italian for 'dark', with an incense that holds centuries of stories: deep, mysterious, and intimate, enriched with carrot seed and the dark essence of cade. Within, a heart of darkness welcomes osmanthus and peony, wrapped in notes of geranium and magnolia, protected by labdanum absolute and amber nuances. The base on which this narrative rests is composed of vetiver, patchouli, cedar, sandalwood, musk, and leather. It is a mysterious scent that leads each of us to reflection; meditative, intimate yet disturbing.

There are moments in life when we look back, as if wanting to capture a moment in our minds. Leaving a place forever means taking the memories with you, eternally. Buio was conceived, created, and assembled while listening to Nils Frahm’s Empty and Einstürzende Neubauten’s Ende Neu albums at every stage.

“There were days when my mind wandered, slowly floating between thoughts and memories, only to be swallowed up by time and become a prisoner of events. The first accord of this perfume was born from the encounter between cade oil, carrot seeds, an enveloping incense, cashmeran, and suederal. In that mix, the courage to transform the course of my thoughts, my existence, my life was born. During that period, as this fragrance took shape, I read texts on Shintoism and listened to Nils Frahm. Each raw material was carefully weighed, as if they were vital words to be chosen to tell someone something significant about my life; it was my story, my path, shrouded in darkness.”
