A shot straight to the pleasure receptors, Baraonda is a clear departure from previous Nasomatto stylings, marking a surprisingly transparent style. The clean fruity musk of ambrette seed is combined with a generous dosage of whisky lactones washed in amber, creating impressions of slowly baked apples, caramel, stewed pears, and chocolate. As a result, Gualtieri has created a thickly fruity Highland single malt Scotch. Delicious.

This whiskey is top shelf - absolutely the scent of someone ready to leave an impression. Baraonda will project you forward and electrify those around you (if you can pull it off) and this quality makes the price seem borderline affordable. If you love a single malt then you have to try Baraonda. Outstanding, 11/10.
