Nasomatto China White reveals the strength of fragility. Intoxicating yet soft, it has a mesmerising mix of powdery soft florals with a touch of woody accords. It holds a key element that intrigues us with its sharp, edgy, almost leather-like nuance and makes this scent so very addictive. Presented with a crackle glaze ceramic cap.

Nasomatto's most precisely constructed scent, China White falls in the school of postmodern perfumery, cleverly using synthetics to construct new styles. Here, the leathery chypre employs synthetics to create absolute desiccation. If Brian Eno had a scent to match his music, the gentle repetitious melody of China White would be it.

Discontinued beauty!

An intoxicating and smouldering musk, dosed with fatty aldehydes and a light rose-leather powder that lasts hours. Truly extraordinary and criminally underrated. For those interested, Iris Cendre by Naomi Goodsir or Under My Skin by Francesca Bianchi both parallel an element of this smouldering musk effect: the former emphasising a more waxy and charred orris/violet and the latter the more animalic powdery smoke.
