Orto Parisi Seminalis Parfum

Seminalis has been on my radar since its first reveal, but its conspicuous connotation paired with the translucent haziness of the white liquid has deterred any attempts to approach it. It has only come during the recent months - where I have sought to find a perfume that elevates and expands the range of human odours - that I challenged myself with a sample.

The first blast to my wrist was coupled with a clenching of the teeth and churn in the stomach, could I truly fear a perfume? Bringing my wrist to my nose after I felt I was ready, I inhaled a shot of bitter lactone, blonde woods and geometric musks. Allowing the topmost notes to simmer off the skin revealed a perpetually self-refining milky musk, as if the perfume was cleaning itself on my skin like a creature, aware of it naked and imperfect body. The bitterness of the lactone underwent sublimation, becoming the sweet backbone, with the crystalline and sharp quality of the musk becoming incredibly fluffy and creamy and buttery against the nose, and perhaps even the palate. There are pale woods too, and these have been neutered to oblivion. Their expression amongst the rest of the perfume is what lends itself to the slightly strange, corn taste of 'froot loops' cereal. Overall a 'one of a kind' addition to the collection, and a relinquishing of past fears!

All season, very pleasing tasty sandalwood & creamy especially at cooler temperatures.

I love fragrances and tired many of rare and top fragrances out there. I would give this a 5 star rating as it qualifies for that top tier according to me.

Never in the history of my fragrance hunting I’d imagine to be captured by a fragrance as unusual as this. This fragrance opens up in a way that almost reminds me of a creamy condensed milk merged with honey and almost. The sweetness of honey gradually warms up into a warm woody creamy delicious scent that is both seductive and intriguing! It’s 10/10.
