The world began with an explosion and the terrain was created by a burning volcanic lava swallowing the surface underneath. Orto Parisi's Terroni is a dedication to our family roots and tradition; an homage to those who work on the earth with their hands. Fans of Nasomatto's Black Afgano will delight in the addictively smokey oud scent, combining raw earthy notes with sweet berries.

Raspberry, birch, and tonka over volcanic char — fiery energy of earth-and-fire origin.

Editor's Notes

What a strangely beautiful thing! Terroni evokes power through fire: a contained energy with a bold sketching of fiery volcanic embers, ravaged earth, and a lingering of ashy, sweetly spiced smoke. Orto Parisi's persistent motif of rawness and its connection with the earth remains through charred oud, a sweeping of sweet berries and herbs, and intimate musks. The mighty Mount Vesuvius in a bottle.

Holy Smoke!

Holy Smoke!
I get a smooth oud in my skin. Reminds me of a bonfire in a cold night.

The reviews are right

I can't add much more to what has been written but this is an excellent winter scent. For me, there are similarities to Penhaligon's Halfeti Cedar - I'd say Terroni is more refined then Halfeti Cedar. Both are obviously winners but if you don't have Terroni then at the very least, buy a sample and I am certain you'll buy a bottle.

Absolutely beautiful scent with strong staying power

Terroni

Similar to Black Afgano, but less eccentric. I still prefer the stronger personality of Black Afgano over this, but obviously that is just style preference. Still, really good fragrance

If you want stand out.

This is not for the soft hearted.
If you love the smell of chaos, this is for you.
It starts like this.
An old musky moss farm barn on fire!!
Strong smell of thick and heavy smoke as the barn and all the equipment burns down.
You can't just feel the heat, you can smell it!.
After a being held captive by it's harshness, you start to see some beauty in it.
As the fire dances with the rubble, the heat lights up a small batch of raspberries and incinerate it, leaving nothing but a small faint hit of it's aroma in the air.

If you want to smell like this then this is the perfume for you.

Unbelievable!

I have been using this fragrance as my daily for a few months now and it still impresses me each day! The way it reacts with my skin is incredible, it adds a whole new dimension to the fragrance. I apply it some mornings at 3:30am and it is still effective late into the afternoon. I have had people comment at work how nice the fragrance is and even the baristas at my local coffee shop asking for the name of the fragrance to buy for their partners.

This is my first taste of Orto Parisi and I will definitely be purchasing some more. As always Men's Biz is superb with their shipping and including samples in the box.

Treat yourself to this fragrance, you won't regret it.

Purchased as a gift for ...

Purchased as a gift for a groomsman - if you know Black Afgano, this has the same unmistakable DNA to it, with a sweeter top. Definitely not a blind-buy, but if you want to part crowds and leave a mark, this will do the trick. Incredible longevity.

burnt jam erotica

This is a truly unique perfume, and IMO the best of the Orto Parisi line. As other reviews have stated, there's a huge smokey, earthy, fiery, aromachem opening, which then gives way to a strangely musky dark berry. The smoke stays throughout, and the longevity is crazy. What I find most appealing about Terroni though, is the slightly sour musky base note that blends with the skin. There's an animalic vibe, even sweaty, but in the most erotic and classy way. A lot of reviews suggest this as a cold weather fragrance, but I think it can work equally in summer. You won't smell 'fresh', but you'll smell sexy, like two lovers rolling around at the summit of a volcano.

Outstanding, Powerful, Intense

Terroni was my first introductory fragrance to Orto Parisi (Paris’s Garden). I still remember my reaction when I first smelt this truly magnificent work of art. I have never smelt a fragrance as powerful, intense, smoky, earthy, woody and volcanic as this fragrance. In the mist of the woodyness of this fragrance lies sweetness of berries. This fragrance is definitely not for the light-headed. Only those who really know fragrance can appreciate this creation. This fragrance goes from a-z without any changes. It’s linear and it will linger for days. I sprayed this fragrance on my skin and after 48 hours, two showers, I could still slightly smell it on my skin which indicates that this fragrance performs amazingly.

Stunning, Smokey and Stong

Sublime. Peaty, cherry, warm and strong this scent is not for the feint hearted. I'm addicted. Long wearing it sits on the skin all days and lingers in clothing, doing well as a signature scent. The smokey top notes wear away to reveal a warm, rich, earthy scent that is akin to that nose you get on a fresh pour of whiskey.

Get on it ladies!

Blunt and masculine

Among all fragrances I have, this one is probably the strongest performer sillage and duration wise - especially in warm weather. It is definitely masculine, can’t see a woman ever pulling this off (I’d be surprised and probably aroused if one does near me). What it’s about - dry cedar, birch tar, dry bitter cocoa, oud, and if this sounds like Black Afgano, instead of annoying wink-wink illicit substance accord, here we get smoky sweet berries to top it off. Result, definitely masculine as I said, blunt, earthy, powerful. It gets noticed, too. Any complaints? I wish it was entirely made of natural ingredients- aromachemicals (think tyre rubber synthetic) pop up once in a while and remind you you’re not in freshly dug up vineyard under Mount Vesuvius, but in a chemical lab. Still, very good composition, very powerful performer.
