Proraso Shaving Soap Bowl: Refreshing, 150ml

This was my first purchase as a new wet shaver. I used to just use water previously and its not bad. Having said that, it does have that 'old man smell' if you know what I mean. It does linger if you like it. Having said that, its a staple, cannot go wrong. Recommend.

I’ve been using Proraso for well over twenty years and would never contemplate using any other product. I use the large container for use at home and the smaller one when travelling. Just a small amount provides a good lather for a smooth clean shave and leaves a cool, refreshing after shave. You can’t beat it.

Good but not as good as most make it out to be. Like it lathers decently but isn't as slick or as cushioning as TOBS or even Arko. I've only got about a month of soap left and it has lasted me a LONG time, probably just shy of a year and I feel like I use a lot of this stuff. I've done everything, use more/less soap, more/less water, preshave etc. but it just isn't as good as many make it out to be. Considering that it costs around 2 euros in Italy, this is meant to be a more affordable product and it functions like one. Just good overall, certainly not the best, definitely not the worst. Functional, relatively cheap (although its way cheaper overseas), good scent and lasts a good while. Definitely better than most shave foams/gels imo.

I purchased this cream after wanting to try something new, and after a number of shaves, it's my new favourite! The cooling feel is nice, and I feel like the blade is running more smoothly over my skin. Can recommend!

Great lather, cushion & scent!

Lathers really easily with my badger brush and smells great. Cooling sensation on the skin and gives nice smooth shave.

The soap smells great and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, the tub also seems to last for ages, great for beginner DE shavers

As someone who only just started shaving, Proraso Green is the best product I could have hoped for! Anyone looking for shaving soap could not go past this!!

When my old mate is running low you purchase again without thought as the ingredients, performance and overall value for money make it something you don't want to be without.

Nice fresh Eucalyptus smell. I use it in the warmer months as it gives a pleasant cooling feel.

Leathers easily with boar brushes but may require more time to load a badger. Get a shaving cream for your badger brush so you can alternate between boar/soap and badger/cream.

Tub lasts for ages as it's a medium textured soap and not diluted in water.
Another plus is that the new formulation is parabens free.

Get it for summer shaves and get the red Proraso soap for winter.

Lathers very well and a nice refreshing smell. Great value.

I bought the green, red and white for my husband to try out. He has semi sensitive skin so I expected him not to prefer the green. However, he has had no irritation and tells me it gives a good lather and great shave whilst feeling cool on the skin. Am also a fan of the scent.

Using this for 4 years now, always excellent lather. Leaves no irritation and always shaves perfectly.

Easy to get great Lather even with cheap boar brush and leaves a nice cool feel on the second and third passes.

This container lasted me ages, smells and feels great with shaving. I recently bought the red version from Mens Biz and like it even more as its apparently better for sensitive skin. That being said this one is still great.

Got this as my first soap and I would definitely recommend it. Lathers well and provides a very refreshing menthol feeling to the face. Great value.

Why didn't I try this before! Great refreshing smell, suds up well with my Omega brush, my razor guides over with ease, will last a long time compared to the old gel I will never use again. Love it

Proraso soaps never fail to deliver, especially the original green shaving soap. This is very good value for money, lathers up very well and it's a pleasant menthol odour, nowhere near as strong as its pre-cream equivalent.

It's definitely a must-have or a must-try shaving soap for virtually all types of skin.

I really like this shaving soap. Lathers well and provides for a great shave. However, I was hoping for more of a cooling feel - I want my face to freeze when I put it on. The menthol is less noticeable than the pre-shave cream, and my previous Edwin Jagger menthol shaving soap. Otherwise, it's great.

This product can be summed up by two words: value, and performance.

Firstly, performance. Lathers very easily, thick creamy lather, easily enough for 3 passes, great cushion to the blade on the face, smells fresh, and leaves that light menthol tingle to your skin which is, to me, invigorating.

Value - not just because of the price. It is value because of both the performance AND the price.

In rotation with 2 other soaps, I return to this one when I want an invigorating (read: pleasant, not slap in your face!) shave.

Very easy to lather & refreshing effect from the menthol. Can't go wrong for the price.

This shave soap lasts for ages. I purchased this nearly a year ago and I am still not even half way through it, having to shave every two days.

It lathers up well using a shaving brush in the bowl and applying it to the face. It stays on the face and does not drip.

It also has a fresh, crisp feel on the face that reduces razor burn.

It is a universal product suitable for men of all ages.

I recommend that it be paired perfectly with Proraso After Shave Lotion.

First time user of proraso and I got to say its really good, loads pretty well and lathers nicely to. I'm definitely going to use this often mainly in summer because of the cool menthol feel.

I'm still not sure I like the scent. It's not unpleasant exactly, I'm just not sure how I feel about it. It loads onto the brush really well. The amount of lather it makes is good and it feels nice on your face, especially when the menthol coolness comes in. I can see myself loving this in warmer weather.

A great shaving soap that leaves your skin feeling refreshed and minty. Can't go wrong with this purchase. A classic.
