L’Homme M.LaCroix oozes, and is lavish with floral and botanical features that make for a remarkable leather fragrance. Leather is only ever as good as the company that it keeps, and it is clear that this fragrance is well-loved. To consider one aspect is to consider all of them in this well-integrated and cohesive fragrance, but what is unmissable is the bright and nostalgic top of lemon and orange blossom working alongside the layered greens of geranium, thyme, and blackcurrant leaf, moving the scent in many directions at once. A pronounced dryness operates against the phenolic impact of birch tar, as cedar, orris, and vetiver particularly sap the fragrance of its freshness, imparting a sensation that is best described as an ashy dustiness; but a dustiness that could almost be a glitter or a sparkle on account of the scent’s complexity.
