It also provides a great base when using the Shapton Glass Diamond Lapping Plate.

Quality holder for quality whetstones

I didn't think the holder would be as heavy as it was, but man does it hold your glass stones safely and securly.
The silicone and glass composition is the perfect combination and once the stone is in/on it you can focus to the job in hand and not worry about your stone moving about. I'm very happy with it and
recommend this product 100%
