Shapton Kuromaku 1000 Pro Sharpening Stone

$9995 AUD

Shapton Kuromaku Stones are designed for sharpeners who demand the highest quality. These fast-cutting, long-lasting water stones create a consistent razor-sharp edge. For those who want performance without compromise, and the best results possible, the Kuromaku line delivers.

Unlike many traditional water stones, the Kuromaku series does not absorb water. There is no need to soak them beforehand: simply splash the surface, and they are ready for sharpening. Their cutting speed is exceptional, ranking among the fastest water stones available, which makes them ideal for both personal and professional use. The Orange #1000 grit stone is a coarse-medium suitable for moderate stock removal, and an ideal store for use prior to polishing. Despite their power, they are also hard-wearing, meaning they stay flatter for longer and require less frequent maintenance compared to lower-quality stones, reducing downtime and improving workflow.

Each Kuromaku stone comes in a colour-coded storage case that can be stacked neatly, making organisation simple while also allowing you to identify the grit at a glance. The case is designed with rubber feet on the base, providing a stable, slip-resistant surface for sharpening on the go. Ventilation in the base allows the stone to dry thoroughly after use, helping to prevent cracking and extend its lifespan.

Each stone is made with precisely graded ceramic abrasives that guarantee consistent cutting performance across all grit levels. Because the abrasives are sorted with extremely tight tolerances, Shapton is able to offer a wider and more reliable range of grits than most other brands, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every stage of the sharpening process.
