Shear Revival Crystal Lake Styling Pomade

The best water-based I've tried. Behaves a bit more like an oil-based (ie looks more natural) and doesn't harden up like most water-based. easy to remove.

The Noah sheer revival is what I have.
It's definitely not like any pomade I've used before. The consistency reminds me of cold coconut oil but not as easy to melt on your hands or apply.
It's not as easy to wash out as I was hoping for , and regrettably have stopped using it.
There's a bit of tug back when applying to hair which I don't like, and was the reason I went for this product ( from reviews I've read ).

Also , a bit expensive.

Feels really light but firm, doesn’t leave my hair dry or flaky and doesn’t seem to irritate or cause any redness. Good alternative to more water based pomades.

I have thick dry hair and this works even better in damp hair, really smooth finish and feels clean

I have fine, dense hair with not the best hairline and I like to slick my hair back. I'm telling you this stuff is perfect. Remains workable all day, and is just the right amount of hold to keep my hair together in the front. Tried 20 different products from different companies over the past year or so and I will never use anything else besides this now.

the shine and hold are both super natural! if you want your hair to look less structured, less is more.

I've used lots of hair products in my life, now that my hair is growing and it's about medium length, this one became my favorite immediately after I used it the first time. It smells FANTASTIC, it's also water soluble. I will be ordering again and again.

im letting my hair grow longer, around 5 inches now, and i like to keep it out of my face. just a little bit of this does the trick. i like it because its not gunky looking or very sticky. gives my hair a natural look

Please don't ever reformulate this. We will be willing to pay higher price if some ingredients became harder to come by.

Wished they didnt reformulate from the version 8+ years ago or so. I find the new version very tacky and hard to style into my hair without the pulling feeling of the hair. The OG version (vanilla-ish mango scent) went in SMOOTH and lasted all day. Wish I bought a case of that formula!

Finally found a product that does not give me itchy dry spots on my scalp and yet still holds my hair (short to medium length) all day long. The shine and the scent (good but not overpowering) are a nice bonus

I have four of SR's pomades, Northern Lights, Crystal Lake, Gray Ghost and Loyal Sea and each is different but I have to say I reach for Crystal Lake more often. It is so easy to use and it just pushes every button. Must try.

Crystal Lake is a fantastic medium hold styling (cream) pomade, that lasts all day, is easily restylable, and is easy to rinse or wash out. Crystal Lake is l my favorite styling product, (offering a similar feel and performance to Oduds Styling Treatment, with a better scent. ..both are good but Crystal Lake > Styling Treatment).

I got this recently to see if it still performs the same after the rebranding. The last time I tried Crystal Lake was a few years ago, and this still holds up to the standards. Although I would like more hold, you can't fault it because it is now labeled as a medium. It is a good medium with nice scent and nourishing feeling. Would buy again if I wanted a medium.

First impression, nice packaging. The breakdown, application, and finishing are very smooth. The hold for my hair is about 5-6 hours, I would say it is natural shine. Great pomade, high quality, strongly recommend.

This is a great product for someone like myself who has a finer hair type. Smells great, Easily re-styleable, feels good and keeps my hair where it needs to be. Only complaint (which is minor) is the new branding. Something that used to have a lot of character and personality now looks like a generic department store brand.

As the title says, this is my very first pomade. After doing research across a variety of companies, I settled with this one (as it also aligns with my personal beliefs).
I have medium/long, wavy/curly hair. The kind that "poofs" when you brush it. I always hated the "poof" effect, which is why I ended up shaving the bottom layer of my hair in hopes of settling it. Anyway, after learning about pomades being an option, I decided to try this one due to the natural ingredients and being water-based. Turns out this product helped a tonnnn; I no longer have flyaways at the top and side of my head and my hair does not look like a puffy ball anymore. It actually has provided defined volume and my hair still feels silky smooth, even after using a considerable amount. No grease, no pasty or oily feeling leftover.
It is best to use it on wet hair + comb in my experience, and just build up a bit more after it dries down. I have now ordered my second jar in a full size this time.

Shipped very quickly! It has the perfect amount of hold, not too heavy but definitely not a light hold. My hair feels great after washing it out, too!
