Tabac Original Eau de Toilette

i refuse to use any other brand than tabac!....its the best ever. ive had some people over the years stop me in the street and ask what is that nice scent your wearing.

Reminds me of stuff my grandmother used, mostly using a cheap and nasty orange blossom base. Interesting that they thought printing 'original' on the bottle would fool people. Those shameless marketing people are pretty clever.

Great clean and pleasant sent. The initial scent is quite strong but it quickly dries down to a pleasant barbershop scent. Can’t get much better for what it costs.

Tabac EDT is a great everyday fragrance for the confident 30+ man -- bright, clean, and invigorating.

It is a more refined and elegant composition than the Tabac EDC and aftershave splash, which are more straightforward, linear barbershop-style scents. All three feature clean, soapy aldehydes and bright, fresh lavender and lemon over a base of tobacco, amber, and oakmoss. But the EDT is more complex and balanced, with more pronounced floral notes in the top and middle, and greater depth and clarity in the base.

In terms of sophistication, Tabac EDT can stand comfortably alongside a lot of the much more expensive men's fragrances. Its longevity is probably about average for a modern EDT (i.e., around 3-4 hours).

It is not sweet, fruity, or aquatic, and therefore will probably not appeal to many guys in the under-25 age group -- nor to the girls they are trying to impress ;-) But if you can imagine terms like "mature" and "barbershop" being used to describe a fragrance without necessarily being used pejoratively, then I would recommend Tabac EDT without hesitation.
