Tabac - in a word: trustworthy. It works. Tabac has a vintage mood about it, definitely masculine, definitely of a different time, but nonetheless a solidly crafted piece of work. It encapsulates the fascination of male fragrances to create scents that resemble expensive floral soap and subtle sweet dust, achieved with a generous dosage of bright aldehydes and pure lavender wrapped in a barbershop-flavoured herb-citrus-moss accord. This is fractured with tobacco and spice, which overall gives the scent a confident quality without descending into vulgarity or loudness. A firm piece of perfuming history, it is obligatory.

Surprisingly nice

Don't let the price fool you, this is a quality product with a great scent. For now at least its my daily go to, its that good.

the best ever!

i refuse to use any other brand than tabac!....its the best ever. ive had some people over the years stop me in the street and ask what is that nice scent your wearing.

Appalling scent, nothing like the original.

Reminds me of stuff my grandmother used, mostly using a cheap and nasty orange blossom base. Interesting that they thought printing 'original' on the bottle would fool people. Those shameless marketing people are pretty clever.

After shower freshener.

Great clean and pleasant sent. The initial scent is quite strong but it quickly dries down to a pleasant barbershop scent. Can’t get much better for what it costs.

Classic masculine fragrance

Tabac EDT is a great everyday fragrance for the confident 30+ man -- bright, clean, and invigorating.

It is a more refined and elegant composition than the Tabac EDC and aftershave splash, which are more straightforward, linear barbershop-style scents. All three feature clean, soapy aldehydes and bright, fresh lavender and lemon over a base of tobacco, amber, and oakmoss. But the EDT is more complex and balanced, with more pronounced floral notes in the top and middle, and greater depth and clarity in the base.

In terms of sophistication, Tabac EDT can stand comfortably alongside a lot of the much more expensive men's fragrances. Its longevity is probably about average for a modern EDT (i.e., around 3-4 hours).

It is not sweet, fruity, or aquatic, and therefore will probably not appeal to many guys in the under-25 age group -- nor to the girls they are trying to impress ;-) But if you can imagine terms like "mature" and "barbershop" being used to describe a fragrance without necessarily being used pejoratively, then I would recommend Tabac EDT without hesitation.
