You just can’t mistake Jordi Fernandez’s style: Montblanc Explorer, Oud Maracuja (Maison Crivelli), Blue Talisman (Ex Nihilo), Impadia (BDK Parfums), and Nostos by Etat Libre d’Orange. Alongside Quentin Bisch, Fernandez is a maestro and a sculptor, able to work huge materials, transforming their texture, and turning them fluid.

Ambre Latte is based on the juxtaposition of textures (and states of matter), soon blurring together, neither one nor the other. The immediate creaminess of Ambre Latte pulls away from the typical lactic impression, going in a nutty, coconut-y, rice-like, biscuity, and floral direction. It is more like 2% milk, and certainly recalls almond milk with a satisfying foamy lightness. This is sweetened with caramel that ranges from light blonde to golden amber, formed with benzoin, tonka, and vanilla.

There is certainly nothing flabby about this creation, as these creamy foam bubbles spread and melt over an amberwood surface. A cocktail of powerful wood materials comes forward, and depending on how you see it - they stiffen the milky sweet aspects of the scent, or melt in contact with these materials. This complex eventually takes over, left with a woody muskiness that carries all the traits of a skin scent, but so much more.
