Vetiver is a note with countless facets, and Etat Libre d'Orange highlights the nutty, creamy aspects through vanilla, oppoponax, and chestnuts. In the midst is a pure astringency, myrrh and herbal olive leaves, ensuring the scent doesn't become too sickly. A little bit dirty, and completely addictive.

Note to former self

Imagine coming back to buy a bottle of Fat Electrician years later, only to be confronted by your own review. I wish someone had smacked the keyboard out of my hand and told me "You fool! One day you'll eat those words!".
This is my absolute favourite vetiver fragrance, I've been heading in an increasingly gourmand direction lately and in only two months I have already half finished my 50mL bottle with plans to upgrade to 100mL. I just can't get enough of it, it's perfect...

Nutty Vetiver

Fat Electrician EDP:

Vetiver as I have experienced it (so far) is usually citrusy, grassy, inky, earthy or leathery and is generally found in traditional, formal or business class fragrances. This is absolutely true to its notes, but I don't think I was completely prepared for what an edible combination of vetiver and chestnut with whipped cream would actually smell like. Nutty vetiver? Nutty vetiver... creamy, sweet and... nutty... vetiver.

It's good, weird in the way you would expect but I personally wouldn't wear it.

Great stuff

Nutty vetiver goes great with the vanilla scent...not the most versatile scent, but long lasting and leaves an impression.
