The joyous smell of fruit and flowers - an exaltation that comes from nature - the melting texture of soft pear works against the sparky tang of raspberry pulp and blood orange, carried on the morning time meadow charm of elderflower blossoms: lemony, grassy, honey-like and slightly spicy, it lends a soft vernal injection to any fragrance. Bolstered with magnolia, jasmine, and rose, this initial ballet of floral materials rises high in the atmosphere until it is joined by the earthy roasted sweetness of praline, where toasted nuts are suspended in caramel. This effect is subtle but effective, and provides the basis of a fine contrast that ends with a nostalgic muskiness - recalling vintage powdery rose chypres resembling the texture of velvet.
